bedowsed with sparkling round eyes and a crown of dark silky hair with streaks of golden dye, Nadia is a young girl who exudes stupendous beauty. what makes her distinct is her character. with a gung-ho spirit, she has a wicked sense of humour and is rebellious in nature. being an attention-seeker, she loves to do the exact opposite of what she has been instructed so that people could notice her.
Nadia seems any ordinary girl down a street. but it's her life story that one can never forget.
despite being joive de vivre by nature, no one knew about the emotional struggles she is facing every single day.
the reason why she yearns for someone's attention is because she is lacking conditional, parental love.
'My mum ran away when i was of a young age,' she said in a tone, devoid of emotions. She has been immuned to the cold, harsh fact that she no longer feels sad and unwanted.
Therefore, as Nadia could never be a Mummy's girl, she naturally thought she could at least be her Daddy's. However, the gods above seemed determined to give her a tough life, vacanted of any love.
Being an illegal drug peddler and a hard-core drug addict himself, Nadia's father led his own fleshand blood into the dark side where only misery, sickness, self-torture and illusions exist. itwas a world not meant for a young girl, like Nadia. but as pitiful and heart-wrenching as Nadia'slife could be, young Nadia was coerced into smoking at a unbelievable age of four by a man whom she called 'Daddy'.
As she grew from an innocent, innocuous girl to a matured young lady, Nadia has been exposed to countless sins which all should abstain from. at the age of thirteen, Nadia has already dabbled in deadly drugs and smoking. being a chain smoker for a continuous 11 year period, Nadia hasunknowingly addicted to it.
We all knew that there would be dire and irreversible consequences from such immoral acts of injustice to our own body. however, maybe the remorse came too late for thirteen-year-old Nadia.
Her lungs have been already affected from a medical checkup she attended. Some water hasentered her lungs which could prove fatal if nothing is done. it is unimaginable what her kindof future lies ahead of her. if only she could yank herself out of her drug and smoking addict.if only someone could guide her. if only her father could help her. if only her mother did notrun away. if only her life could be altered right from the start.
counselling dun seem to be working for a strong-headed girl like Nadia. self-love and self-realisation are the only things that i can hope she attain.
when she told me her story, i wanted so badly to help her. apart from helping her, i wish to slapher father and chastise him for being such a failure. i wish i had done something more than just listening helplessly to her story.
im praying there will be time for changes to be made in her life. a second chance, that is all she needs.
